• Recently we hosted a one day women empowerment programme (WEP) where women who had successfully completed their vocational trainings were empowered with poverty alleviation tools such as sewing machines, hair dryers, grinding machines and financial grants to enable them kick start their businesses.  Present at the event to hand over the poverty alleviation tools to the beneficiaries is the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefulire who expressed her joy and gratitude to Selfworth Organization while urging the beneficiaries to put the empowerment items to good use.  The event which held at the Union bank sports club Surulere witnessed a massive turn out of women and notable dignitaries from all walks of life.
  • 118 women received free breast screening and free vaccines against cervical cancer.
  • 124 women received free sewing machines, hair dryers, grinding machines and financial grants for business start-ups
  • 40 women received the coca cola small business start off kit
  • 1,125 women received free practical entrepreneurial trainings on soap making, dettol making, air freshener, professional make up and gele tying, bead stringing and revamping of shoes and bags with our African fabric: Ankara
  • 200 young girls received self-development and leadership training and were empowered with personal hygiene kits. 
  • 30 women received interest free loans for business kick offs
  • 85 widows received food, clothing and other relief items.
  • Donations and visits to little saints orphanage
  • Donations and visits to S.O.S. motherless babies home
